With so much talk about GMAT preparation and planning you’re probably wondering to yourself, where will a good GMAT score get me? To answer this question, look no further than the Merchant GMAT Hall of Fame. There are many recent Merchant GMAT alumni who were in your shoes just a few months ago and are working for successful organizations all over the world. You, as students, should take advantage of all the resources on the Merchant GMAT website to find out where you want to go professionally.

Many Merchant GMAT alumni, such as Mel Faxon, have started their own businesses after earning their MBA degrees. Mel is the co-founder and COO of Hey Mirza, a company that helps parents financially plan for having children. Mel Faxon, like many other Merchant GMAT alumni, is ambitious and used her MBA degree to start a company she was passionate about. With a good GMAT score, the possibilities are endless what you can achieve in the business world.

Other students prefer to work for large corporations after excelling in their MBA programs. Andy Mondino is a former Merchant GMAT student who is currently earning his MBA at the prestigious Booth School of Business at The University of Chicago. While betting on an MBA, he worked for 5 years for Mastercard, the multinational financial services company. Andy used his GMAT score to get into Booth and today he’s taking advantage of professional opportunities in Argentina. This is just one of the many examples of where a good GMAT score will get you.

Many Merchant GMAT students may question how good their GMAT score is, especially if they score lower than their peers. However, there are so many great MBA programs across the world that will help them succeed. Students should be confident in their scores and trust their abilities when applying to business schools. Applying to business schools you think are out of your range is a good idea because class sizes fluctuate from year to year. Having confidence is the most important part of the GMAT; you might be surprised where it can take you.

Merchant GMAT has plenty of resources to help students navigate the GMAT process. The article What is a good GMAT score? Average GMAT score by School will help students understand their score and pick viable schools to apply to. All 50 schools listed in that article are great options for students looking to earn an MBA. Take a look and see where a good GMAT score will take you!
